Transition updates

Find information about the transition to Adelaide University, your enrolment, and more. Information is added regularly, so please check back often.

If you are transitioning to Adelaide University in 2026, you will receive your transition study plan between June and September this year, in phases. Your study plan will detail the courses you have completed and those you’ll need to enrol into when enrolments open for undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students in late 2025. You will be able to complete your degree in the same timeframe, provided you continue to make satisfactory academic progress.

Please note that the majority of graduate researchers will not receive a study plan as their degrees do not contain coursework. Graduate researchers will instead be contacted with specific advice relating to their transition and Adelaide University program.

If you have any questions once you receive your study plan, our dedicated Transition Support team will be able to help with any queries – contact them via email or phone: +61 8 7420 5101.

Your study plan will include the following information:
• Your personal details, including name, student ID etc.
• Your current/Adelaide University program and plan information (including names and codes).
• The courses you have completed in your current program (including previously approved credit) and how will they be recognised in your Adelaide University program.
• The courses you need to enrol into to complete your degree at Adelaide University, including the code, name and the semester it’s available in.
• Some important study plan notes.

When the time comes to enrol and you’re searching for your courses, please be aware some courses have similar or the same names. Ensure you are enrolling in the course with the correct code as outlined on your transition study plan.

More information about enrolments will be sent to you prior to them opening.

The records of all previous courses studied and details of the credit awarded will be transferred to Adelaide University, and you will automatically be awarded credit into your Adelaide University program (including previously approved credit).

We are fully committed to supporting you during the transition to Adelaide University. You will receive timely and open communication regarding any changes to your student experience, your program or any courses. You will be provided with support, both face-to-face and online, before, during and after transition to Adelaide University.

The student support services available at Adelaide University will incorporate all the services currently available to students at the University of Adelaide or the University of South Australia. This includes support services such as general enquiry services, counselling, disability or carer support (including access plans), First Nations student support, graduate research specific services, elite athletes and performer agreements and personalised support for veterans, and the continuation of any ongoing scholarships (subject to meeting ongoing conditions).

For graduate research students, this will also include support through the Adelaide University Graduate Research School.

You can also visit the Support web page to find out more about Adelaide University’s range of support services.

If you’re living in Adelaide and looking for new accommodation, or you’ll be arriving in Adelaide to commence your studies in 2025, please seek accommodation assistance from the education provider you are enrolled with for 2025. Visit the relevant websites for more information:

Both foundation universities have strong, positive relationships with all accreditation partners, and we are working closely with them to ensure all programs at Adelaide University can offer the same professional accreditation as equivalent programs at our foundation institutions. This work is ongoing and a high priority for both Adelaide University and our accreditation partners.

Accreditation information is provided in the accreditation section on individual program webpages and is updated regularly. Degree information for most Adelaide University programs is now available, with the remainder to be added soon. Please check back shortly if your program page is currently unavailable.
